Plumbing Solutions That Transform Lives: The IWSH 2024 Year in Review

In 2024, IWSH united skilled plumbers, manufacturers, and technical experts to deliver scalable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions around the world. Our proven success formula— well-planned projects, skilled plumbers, quality products, and world-class training —brought clean water and improved sanitation to more than 1,000 residents in underserved communities worldwide. 

From upgrading water and sanitation systems for Indigenous communities in Australia and the Navajo Nation to training high school students in Lowndes County, Alabama, our initiatives reinforced plumbing's essential role in protecting public health and conserving vital resources. 

Transforming Communities Through Plumbing 

In 2024, IWSH:

• Installed pressurized septic systems for community centers in the Navajo Nation, ensuring sustainable wastewater solutions.
• Engaged Alabama youth in hands-on plumbing training through the IWSH Household Plumbing Survey, empowering the next generation of tradespeople.
• Enhanced plumbing infrastructure repair and maintenance for healthcare facilities in Manila, Philippines, improving sanitation for patients and staff.
• Delivered co-designed clean water solutions to Indigenous communities in Australia, providing long-term water security.
• Worked with vocational education and training providers in Lyon, France to develop a new social impact initiative for international skills competition.
