“Sometimes toilets and taps are not working for months and even years. If we don’t fix them, no one will.”

IWSH supports community plumbing collective WASSUP Diepsloot – the Water Amenities Sanitation Services Upgrade Program – to upgrade and maintain communal toilets and taps in densely-populated township settings in Gauteng Province.

At IAPMO, we measure our success in lives, water and total lifecycle costs saved, contributing to strong healthy communities. Our non-profit arm, the International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation (IWSH) assembles teams of skilled plumbing volunteers to improve access to water, sanitation and hygiene for a variety of communities in need. We connect with local leaders, governmental and nonprofit partners, labor organizations, and manufacturers.
